I currently work in the education sector. I’m currently living and working in London, before which I was working in Norfolk, but was born and raised in Liverpool.
I have a range of interests including sociology (of which I am a graduate), politics and philosophy, and will be writing predominantly about education and my experience that comes from my work, as well as about children, teenagers, young adults and their place in society.
I write on a sporadic basis for Spiked magazine and you can visit my profile here. I am also a founding member of the Liverpool Salon (Facebook; Twitter @LiverpoolSalon) and a committee member of the Battle of Ideas Festival. Past discussions I have produced, chaired and spoke at include:
Millennials: youthquake or snowflake? (producer and chair, 2017)
Is masculinity toxic for boys? (panel included Camille Paglia; speaker, 2016)
The trouble with boys: is masculinity in crisis? (speaker, 2014)
Me, my selfie & I: narcissism or empowerment? (chair, 2014)
